7 Simple Rules for Reducing Email Within Your Team
- Only email someone when you need them to take a specific action
- Use Yammer for Questions
- Only CC/include those who need to be in the know (99% of the time this is not done)
- BCC people after they are not needed
- Try to gchat someone instead, as it won’t clog his/her inbox
- Don’t respond for the sake of responding
- Be respectful of people’s inboxes on the team, they usually need to be doing work not email :)
