amazing interview

“There’s only one thought I think about when I pitch brands, ie. I’m meeting with execs at major media companies and the type of people like why would they want to meet with me? I think: the last year, if these events did not occur, I would be nothing and would be sitting around doing nothing. This is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me. And if I just go in there and just treat it as if its like whatever like I’m there because I got really lucky and I don’t want to take it for granted. Why would I hide that I’m super stoked? I go into meetings and I say ‘Oh my god, thank you for taking the time, I’m super excited to be here. You could have met with 1000 other companies but you took my meeting and you answered my email im not going to take this for granted, thank you so much, I’m grateful.’ The reason people get nervous is they try to act like something their not, try to be someone their not, ‘I’m cool because I got this meeting and I should try to be smooth.’ I go in like: I have no idea what im talking about, all I know is that this concept is something I’m super passionate about and I think you guys might see something in it. When they see that they want to help. The first couple people I met were the people who helped craft my concept. This is what’s worked my whole life: constantly learning and being the biggest idiot in the room wherever I go.”
